VietNamNet Bridge – Nearly 200 singers and artists attended the three-day Singer’s Day 2008 in the coastal city of Phan Thiet, Binh Thuan Province, which was held on December 8-10.

Starting in 2006, Singer’s Day has been held twice in the central cities of Da Nang and Nha Trang. The organizers of this event include musician Le Quang, Luong Minh, director Huynh Phuc Dien, MC Thanh Bach, and singers Dam Vinh Hung, Thai Huan and Viet Thanh.

At a workshop entitled “Image Building Art of Modern Artists,” chaired by Dr. Huynh Van Son and psychological expert Ly Thi Mai on December 9, singers joined games and answered questions. This was an interesting sideline activity, where experts and singers talked about the problems of singers.

An auction of artists’ gifts for charity on the same day collected $40,500 for the Fund for the Poor of Binh Thuan Province. Many singers and artists performed like professional models at a fashion show.

On December 10, artists cleaned up Ham Tien beach and participated in charity activities. The Singer’s Day 2008 finished with a music gala in the evening, which was broadcast live on the HCM City Television (HTV), channel 9.
